Newspaper Pregnancy Announcement

A couple of weeks ago, I had the opportunity to do something really fun – a newspaper pregnancy announcement! A friend of a previous client reached out and wanted to surprise everyone they knew. Mom-to-be had a custom newspaper printed from Newspaper Club and we had a lot of fun with it!

This was a super cold day in the dead of winter. Snow was forecasted to start falling any minute and we could barely feel our fingers. So we bundled up in our warmest coats and headed to Downtown Franklin, TN to take their pictures.

When we arrived on the square, the dark clouds were rolling in and the wind had a serious chill. But thankfully before the snow started, we were able to snap a bunch of photos in front of the beautiful municipal building. The mom-to-be had on a gorgeous fitted black dress. Her husband was beaming with excitement – it was so heartwarming to see them glowing and ready to announce their news to the world! glowing and ready to announce their news to the world!

We probably looked silly huddled together shivering in between shots. At one point we had to stop to warm up and regain feeling in our toes! But it was so worth it to capture the genuine thrill of their pregnancy announcement. The final images turned out beautifully with the municipal building and vintage newspaper as the perfect accents.

Even though my fingers felt like icicles, seeing their joy as they shared this moment together made my heart feel warm. It was such an honor to be a part of their exciting news and document this milestone. I know their friends and family will be so surprised and happy when they get these newspaper announcements! It was a great way to creatively share their expanding family.

This ended up being a memorable shoot despite the freezing temperatures. The snow held off just long enough for us to get the perfect shots. It was so fun putting together something unique to celebrate their new baby. I always love when clients let me participate in these meaningful life moments!
