A Blended Household Family Session

There’s something magical about documenting the beautiful chaos of two families becoming one. When I arrived for the Huggins session, I learned that mom is also a photographer – which honestly made me a little nervous at first! But as we settled into the session, she shared something that made my heart full: this was the first time she felt like she didn’t have to ‘knit the pictures’ together herself. As a fellow photographer, she understood the weight of always being behind the camera, always directing and adjusting. But today, she could simply be present with her new blended family, trusting the authentic moments to unfold naturally. There’s no greater compliment than a photographer feeling confident enough to step back and just enjoy being captured alongside the people she loves most.
