Franklin Country Maternity Session

When I first saw Megan’s inquiry that she wanted to do something country, I was hooked. As a photographer living in Tennessee for almost eight years now, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the southern charm and pastoral beauty this state has to offer. However, despite photographing mamas for three years, I haven’t had a client request a country-themed session until now.

Megan’s vision to incorporate the countryside into her maternity photos immediately inspired ideas – I love integrating natural elements to help tell the story behind the bump. While I thoroughly enjoy working with my cottagecore and boho moms, channeling Megan’s country vibe would allow me to showcase a rustic elegance I don’t always get to capture.

After discussing options, we decided on the sprawling pastures and historic buildings of the Park at Harlinsdale Farms in Franklin, TN. The lush greenery and weathered wood textures would provide the perfect backdrop. Megan rented an exquisite black, tulle robe from @nashgowns, completing her vision.

When we arrived at the location, I was awestruck – the golden light dancing across the fields ignited Megan’s passion. She radiated joy. The setting sun cast a ethereal glow as we documented this beautiful season of life. Megan embodied the effortless beauty of the countryside. Her grace and beaming smile against this backdrop was nothing short of magical.

As we wrapped up, I felt immense gratitude for these special moments fostering connections, creativity, and life’s milestones. Capturing Megan’s country elegance reignited my passion for storytelling through my art. This session was a beautiful reminder to appreciate the singular moments that continue to make this journey so rewarding.
